In
1989, the State of California passed a law which requires
every city to reduce it's garbage disposal by 50% by the
year 2000. To help meet these goals, AWI has implemented
recycling programs which divert approximately 1,000 tons each month
from local landfills. In other words, each year AWI is diverting
enough trash to fill one football field, goal post to goal post, 20
feet high. |

| Being an
independently owned and fast growing operation, we can pride on the
individual care we provide for each of our customers. Our fleet of
over 60 vehicles is never more than a few blocks
away in case an emergency pick-up is needed. In addition, we also
provide service on Sundays.
We
are a large enough company to provide excellent service, yet small
enough to provide a personal touch.
If your current solid
waste management company isn't providing you with the services you
need, or if you're just thinking about reevaluating your disposal
requirements make sure to give AWI a call. Your
personal account representative can assist you in fully evaluating
all your disposal needs. |

Container
Manufacturing Division |
|
| All establishments
will be supplied with containers manufactured by the
AWI Container
Manufacturing Shop.
To help Insure
containers against theft, vandalism and scavenging,
AWI will provide the option of locking all bins.
Located within the
facility is the spray booth. The booth is utilized to paint
containers and truck while engineered to provide a healthy working
environment for all. By using the paint booth, AWI isolates the
operation of applying potentially hazardous materials
into the workplace and controls over spray emissions to the outside
environment. |
